Allina Health is a not for profit 503(c) organization with 90+ clinics and 10 hospitals across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The Minneapolis Heart Institute – Vascular Wound Care Clinic seeks a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced wound care therapies in an outpatient setting.

• .75 FTE position. No weekends, no holidays, no call.
• Three 10‑hour shifts; 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Outpatient position located in Minneapolis.
• Team provides advanced wound care therapies for the full scope of wounds.
• EMR:
  Epic.

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
• Conducts patient education when managing chronic illness or wellness care.
• Refers for specialty care when determined.
• Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
• Promotes communication within the team and with other interdisciplinary health care staff.
• Acts as resource to members of the team.

• Master’s degree – Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner – ANCC or AANP certification within specialty required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
• Drug Enforcement Administration certification required upon hire.

• New graduates may be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in wound care preferred.
• Wound education through WebWOC within 12 months of hire required.

• Master’s degree completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Wound education required through WebWOC within 12 months of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner – ANCC or AANP certification within specialty required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
• Drug Enforcement Administration certification upon hire required.

• Medium work. Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy); up to 25 lbs. frequently.

Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
