Job Summary

Allina Health is a not‑for‑profit health system caring for individuals, families, and communities throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. This nursing position focuses on hospital services, ensuring patients are placed in the appropriate department based on their care needs.

Key Position Details
  • Shift: Day/Evening (8‑hour shift)
  • Hours per Week: 32 | 8‑hour day/evening shifts, 5 AM–12:00 PM for Divvy shifts
  • Weekend Rotation:
    Every 3rd weekend
  • FTE: 0.8 (64 hours per two‑week pay period)
  • Union

    Contract:

    MNA‑01‑Abbott Northwestern RN‑RAN
  • Position Type:
    Tier 1 – ADT nurses;
    Tier 2 – Tele/Med‑Surg experience;
    Tier 3 – cross‑trained Med/Surg, NORSE, telemetry. Not open to new graduates.
Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs and development of the plan of care.
  • Establish and modify nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes based on evidence‑based practice.
  • Supervise progress and coordinate collaboration between patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
  • Delegate and guide unit operations as Charge Nurse when acting in this role.
  • Plan learning experiences and validate clinical competence of orientation nurses as Preceptor when acting in this role.
  • Maintain educational and competency standards to provide high‑quality patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational requirements and state regulations.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Vocational degree.
  • 2 to 5 years RN experience in a hospital setting.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing (required if working in MN) or WI Department of Safety & Professional Services (required if working in WI).
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Allina in‑house BLS training within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
Physical Demands

Medium; lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently.

Pay Range

$44.64 to $74.33 per hour, based on experience, education, union agreement, and shift differentials.
