Work as part of a team that includes Cancer and Blood Disorder physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nursing, social work, physical therapy, nutrition, child life, clinic assistants and researchers.

The department provides care for children of all ages with all types of malignancies including brain tumors, solid tumors, and leukemia; and blood disorders such as sickle cell disease, bleeding disorders, and anemia. As the largest provider of services for children with cancer and bleeding disorders in the region, the Cancer and Blood Disorders program focuses on providing well-coordinated knowledge-driven clinical care.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides support to providers in the delivery of timely, high-quality patient care services in a clinic environment. The clinical service functions include initial data collection, assisting providers with rooming, check in and scheduling of appointments. The LPN also assists patients with prescription management, patient registration, answering patient concerns and maintaining outpatient medical records. The LPN may also serve as the clinical Lead.

Individuals in this role will work in an outpatient clinic setting.

• BLS certified
• LPNMNBN

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associates or Vocational degree from a Board of Nursing approved LPN program required

• 1–2 years clinic LPN experience preferred

• Communication skills
• Ability to solve routine issues that may come up in the clinic
• Collaborative and ability to work in team environment
• Ability to serve as lead and support Medical Assistants who may have questions

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
