Travel Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Travel RN specializing in Oncology will provide infusion care at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and United Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Position is for 13 weeks, 8‑hour day shifts (08:00‑16:30) at 40 hours per week, starting 08/03/2026.

• Administer chemotherapy and other oncology medications using either IV push or infusion pumps.
• Manage and troubleshoot ports, PICC lines, and central lines, including blood draws and line care.
• Monitor patients for acute reactions, including anaphylaxis, neurologic changes, inotrope needs, and other emergent symptoms.
• Provide education on medication, side‑effects, and personal care to patients and families.
• Document all nursing interventions, vital signs, and laboratory data in Epic/Excellian charting systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV medication, pharmacy, social work) to coordinate care.
• Participate in unit rounds, case reviews, and quality improvement activities.
• Float between the three designated hospitals to meet facility needs; no weekend coverage required.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license, current in state of Minnesota.
• Minimum of 2 years’ oncology or infusion experience.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS), Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC) required; OCN and ONS/ONCC optional.
• Proficiency in Epic charting system; familiarity with Excellian is a plus.
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:6 and support a 50‑60‑patient infusion census.
• Must be willing to travel and float among the assigned hospitals.
• Background check, fingerprinting, and compliance documentation completed prior to start.

• $150 stipend awarded for completion of pre‑start modules.
• Parking provided at a flat rate of $0.55/hour.
• Guaranteed hours per week; cancellation policy aligns with standard travel agreement.
