Shift Length: 8 hours
The Day Treatment Program is an intensive outpatient psychiatric rehabilitation program that serves adults 18 years of age and older living with serious mental illness.
Note:
If you are currently in a benefit earning position and apply for this casual position you will be decreasing your current hours to casual with no benefits.
Casual nurses are nurses who have no regular appointed scheduled hours (no assigned FTE).
Casual nurses may not have a casual position and a regularly scheduled position within the same facility.
Casual nurses must make themselves available to work a minimum of two (2) open 8-hour minimum length or the equivalent number of hours per four (4)-week scheduling period at straight time, a minimum of one shift must be a weekend shift.
If applicable:
Casual nurses must also make themselves available to work two (2) of the following holiday shifts per calendar year:
New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
Holiday shifts must be full eight or twelve hour shifts.
A minimum of one of the holidays must be a winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's).
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
- A minimum of 2 years of recent professional Psychiatric nursing (RN) experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in area of clinical specialty
BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
