Registered Staff Nurse (RN) In Icu
The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care, focusing on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions within the ICU setting. The role involves delivering high-quality, holistic care across various patient populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ conditions and develop individualized care plans in accordance with established standards.
- Execute nursing diagnosis, set expected outcomes, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including the use of Impella and Balloon Pumps.
- Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
- Participate in shared decision-making and maintain compliance with clinical practice standards.
- Document patient care activities accurately within the Epic electronic health record system.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid state RN license with current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Possess 1+ years of ICU experience, preferably with open-heart surgery patients.
- Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and familiarity with Impella and Balloon Pump devices.
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred.
- Proficient in Epic EMR; previous experience highly preferred.
- Provide verifiable work history and submit current skills checklist with references.
