Registered Staff Nurse (RN) In Icu
A Registered Staff Nurse (RN) specializing in ICU provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill customers across various age groups. The role involves executing nursing standards, assessing patient conditions, and coordinating complex care plans in a fast-paced ICU environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for ICU patients.
- Execute nursing procedures, including interpretation of cardiac rhythms and management of Impella and balloon pumps.
- Delegate tasks to appropriate healthcare team members and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Monitor, evaluate, and revise patient outcomes, ensuring compliance with standards and protocols.
- Document clinical information accurately in Epic electronic health records.
- Participate in shared accountability and ongoing practice improvements to enhance patient safety and care quality.
Qualifications:
- Possess at least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience.
- Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC).
- Hold Minnesota state nursing license.
- Demonstrate experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients and adult/geriatric populations.
- Have proficiency in Epic EMR and interpretation of cardiac rhythms.
- Be able to provide supportive references from recent supervisors.
