Registered Staff Nurse (RN) Specializing In IR/Special Procedures
The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) specializing in IR/Special Procedures provides expert nursing care to adult patients undergoing interventional radiology and special procedures. The role emphasizes independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions within a fast-paced specialty care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition before, during, and after IR procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.
- Develop, revise, and implement individualized care plans tailored to patients undergoing complex interventions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care and communicate effectively with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to team members and supervise delegated activities to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Participate in shared decision-making and quality improvement initiatives to enhance practice standards and environment.
- Document clinical actions and patient responses accurately in the Epic electronic health record system.
Qualifications:
- Possess at least 3 years of critical care experience in ED or ICU settings.
- Have valid state RN licensure with a current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC).
- Demonstrate adult patient population experience, specifically in IR or special procedures.
- Be proficient in Epic electronic health records system (preferred).
- Maintain current skills checklist relevant to specialty practice, dated within 1 year.
- Provide two supervisory references with employment dates.
