Description:
The Registered Nurse will work in the Mother Baby Center. RNs will provide care in both labor and postpartum settings. The average daily census includes 8 deliveries and 15 postpartum patients. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required, approximately every other weekend. Floating to meet facility needs may be necessary. The facility is a teaching hospital with a total of 258 staffed beds.
RNs will participate in a variety of interdisciplinary care practices. Patient populations may include neonates and adults. Daily census includes labor, postpartum, cesarean section, vaginal delivery, and antepartum patients. The unit features a 13-bed labor and delivery area with 5 triage rooms and 27 postpartum rooms. All RNs must complete compliance requirements prior to the start date. References from previous supervisors are required.
Candidates must undergo background checks as per state regulations. Fingerprints must be submitted promptly as part of compliance. Compliance requirements need to be met prior to the start of the position. Candidates will receive a stipend for completing pre-start modules. All on-site modules are required training.
