Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced environment. The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering patient-centered care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments, develop diagnoses, and create individualized care plans for emergency patients.
• Implement nursing interventions while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to other healthcare providers and supervise nursing staff.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience in a Level I Trauma center required.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Valid state license to practice as a registered nurse in Minnesota.
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and all patient populations.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in high-pressure settings.
