Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery
This position is located in a Mother Baby Center. Registered Nurses will work in both labor and post-partum settings. The average daily census includes approximately 8 deliveries and 15 post-partum patients. First-time travelers are accepted. Staff will be required to work every other weekend. On-call hours are not required. Floating within scope may be necessary to meet facility needs. A block schedule cannot be accommodated.
Local candidates are not accepted, with a radius restriction of 100 miles. Pending licenses will be accepted. Time off requests should ideally not exceed 5 days. The client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty. The hospital is a teaching hospital with a Level 2 Trauma Center and has a total of 258 staffed beds. Patient groups include neonates and adults.
The unit features 13 beds in the Labor and Delivery area, 5 triage rooms, and 27 post-partum rooms. Collaborative support is provided by various interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services. Common patient diagnoses include labor, post-partum, cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and ante-partum situations. Travelers are required to have a background check and fingerprinting completed for compliance. A minimum of one supervisor reference is required.
