Seasonal Greenhouse Facilities Technician

MNL is a full-service ecological restoration company dedicated to Healing the Earth. Our services include native seed and plant production, shoreline and wetland restoration, prescribed burns, conservation grazing, vegetation management, and ecological consulting. We also support solar and infrastructure projects with pollinator-friendly practices and land stewardship expertise.

Our Greenhouse team grows and maintains more than 2 million native perennials annually and relies on well-maintained facilities, tools, and equipment to support safe and efficient production.

The Opportunity

We are hiring multiple Seasonal Greenhouse Facilities Technicians to support greenhouse infrastructure and equipment from April through October. Start and end dates are flexible based on availability.

We welcome applicants who are available for the full season as well as those who can begin part-time and expand availability as schedules allow.

This role focuses on facility maintenance, fabrication support, equipment upkeep, and operational readiness across greenhouse spaces. Weekend coverage may be required as part of a staggered schedule to support seven-day plant care operations.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with fabrication and improvement of greenhouse growing structures and facilities, including introductory woodworking, light steel work, plumbing, and general landscaping.
  • Support maintenance and minor repair of greenhouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Operate skid steers and various power tools safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain safe, clean, organized, and hygienic work spaces across greenhouse and facilities areas.
  • Support general operational readiness by preparing spaces, equipment, and tools for production use.
  • Support greenhouse fulfillment or production activities as needed.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Experience in construction, landscaping, agriculture, mechanical trades, or other hands-on technical work preferred.
  • Comfort using hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn facility systems.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in greenhouse and outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain active throughout the workday.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong reliability and ability to maintain a consistent schedule.
  • Ability to work independently as a part of a team.
