Position Overview

Quality Auditor I – Full‑time. Oversees inspection and quality control of all surface‑ and edge‑cut prescription work for the Optical Direct Quality lab at Store WM0200.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret results and findings using a Lensometer.
  • Interpret customers’ prescription requirements and understand the production work ticket generated via lab software.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of surface and finish activities to identify a first‑quality prescription that meets product cosmetic and alignment standards.
  • Understand and meet special or unique requirements of laboratory customers.
  • Act as a quality advisor to production supervisors, lab management, and Regional Operations Manager.
  • Troubleshoot production problems to achieve acceptable quality and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with Network Operations Uniform Processing System procedures, including calibration, prescription cosmetics, and product form/fit.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
  • Follow all company and manufacturer policies, safety rules, attendance regulations, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Assist colleagues as necessary to meet deadlines and distribute workload evenly, demonstrating a positive attitude and completing work on time.
  • Provide training, direction, and technical guidance to less experienced employees; attend in‑house or sponsored trainings when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide safety training for exposure to hazardous substances or chemicals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years of production experience.
  • Knowledge of ANSI standards applicable to eyewear.
  • Near‑vision capability of 20/40 or better with/without corrective prescription eyewear.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $19.50 – $22.00 per hour. Bonus and commission plans may apply. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and employee discounts.
