Quality Technician - Manufacturing Quality & Continuous Improvement

Make a direct impact on product quality and manufacturing excellence. We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to support production operations through hands-on inspections, testing, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a quality professional who enjoys working on the manufacturing floor, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in a regulated environment.

What You'll Do

+ Perform inspections, testing, and analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.

+ Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing and accurately document results.

+ Review production records, batch documentation, and manufacturing paperwork for compliance and accuracy.

+ Support nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

+ Maintain, calibrate, and verify testing equipment to ensure reliable performance.

+ Generate quality reports, analyze trends, and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements.

+ Support line clearance activities and help ensure manufacturing readiness for production.

+ Apply 5S and continuous improvement practices to improve organization, efficiency, and compliance on the production floor.

+ Update work instructions and controlled documents by collaborating with operators, supervisors, and engineering teams.

+ Troubleshoot product, equipment, and process issues using technical documentation, schematics, and test procedures.

+ Lead small projects involving testing, data analysis, and process improvement.

+ Provide coaching, guidance, and training to team members on quality processes and best practices.

What We're Looking For

+ High school diploma required; technical or vocational education is a plus.

+ 4+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, inspection, or a related technical environment.

+ Experience performing inspections, testing, and quality analysis in a manufacturing setting.

+ Strong understanding of quality systems, documentation requirements, and manufacturing processes.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Word and controlled document updates.

+ Ability to interpret procedures, drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

+ Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills.

+ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

+ Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

+ Familiarity with nonconformance investigations and corrective action activities.

+

Experience with line clearance, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Background troubleshooting mechanical or electronic equipment.

+ Experience creating quality reports, analyzing trends, and supporting process improvement projects.

+ Previous mentoring, coaching, or training experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn Center, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
