Job Title:

Laboratory Technician - Calibration Material

Job Description

Join a dynamic team responsible for producing vials of calibration material crucial for diagnostic medical equipment used in hospitals and clinics. Contribute to the improvement of healthcare by ensuring the accuracy and quality of essential diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

+ Apply analytical skills or scientific methods to perform daily tasks such as pipetting and operating DXI
800 and DXI
19000 instruments.

+ Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot reagent components and instruments.

+ Conduct testing on solutions, including pH, conductivity, and density, to ensure adherence to production and process specifications.

+ Ensure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Essential Skills

+ Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.

+ At least 3 months of laboratory experience, which may include academic experience.

+ Proficiency in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

+ Ability to work independently, as verified by references.

+ Demonstrated initiative in seeking out answers.

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in pipetting.

+

Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Work Environment

This role is available for the 2nd shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Work in a regulated manufacturing and production environment, with 70% of time spent on lab work making buffers and prepping materials, and 30% on handling non-conformances, CAPAs, scheduling, and inventory. The large main lab is chemistry-based, following SOPs for making calibrators, involving pipetting, functional testing on analytical tests, and data analysis to ensure specifications are met.

The role requires highly independent work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.58 - $27.37/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
