Senior CMM Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Senior CMM Technician to join their team. As a Senior CMM Technician, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting manufacturing and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Position Type:
Permanent OR Short-Term Contract-to-Hire

Pay Range: $37.50 - $45.00/hour

Shift: Monday - Thursday; 5:00AM - 3:00PM (Overtime Available)

What's the Job?

  • Develop, maintain, and generate CMM programs to inspect and verify production materials and components.
  • Review blueprints and specifications to establish accurate inspection criteria following best practices.
  • Conduct quality control inspections using precise measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ensure the precision machine is properly calibrated and in optimal working condition.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineers to interpret CMM output, evaluate parts quality, and resolve production issues.

What's Needed?

  • Associate degree in a related technical field preferred, or 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with PC-DMIS software; familiarity with Poly Works is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ANSI/ASME, ISO standards, and GD&T principles.
  • Experience with calibration and measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and thread gauges.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and inspection techniques, including First Article Inspections (FAIs).
