Responsible for assisting with regulatory management and data collection with study participants in a pilot research study focused on neuroimaging markers of excitation‑inhibition balance and response to a cognitive training intervention in participants with psychosis. The position involves in‑person data collection at the Ambulatory Research Center and the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research at UMN.

• Data Collection with Research Participants (50%):
  Conduct subject recruitment and eligibility screening and collect informed consent; administer and score neuropsychological tests (Test My Brain, WRAT, BACS); administer structured diagnostic interviews and other clinical assessment instruments; administer C‑SSRS suicide risk assessments as indicated; assist with EEG recordings and fMRI imaging; purchase lunch for participants and reconcile charges; maintain detailed documentation of work performed and data entry; assist with participant reimbursement.
• Administrative Duties (40%):
  Assist with IRB submissions, modifications, and renewals; purchase supplies and assessment materials; assist with grant reporting and reporting to IRB, FDA, NIH.
• Quality Control Review (10%):
  Assist PI with quality control protocols on data collection and management; perform MRI and EEG data pre‑processing; assist PI with basic lab maintenance tasks.
• Other duties as assigned (e.g., assist PI with grant application preparations and conference presentations) depending on applicant interest.

• BA/BS degree, or a combination of education and relevant work experience equal to at least four years.

• Experience conducting research with study participants, including recruitment, IRB protocol construction, and REDCap survey building.
• Experience working with individuals with active mental health symptomatology.
• Coursework in Psychopathology and/or familiarity with Structured Clinical Interview for DSM‑V Disorders and conceptual understanding of DSM criteria.
• Record of strong academic performance.
• Coursework in Cognitive Neuropsychology, Biopsychology, Psychopathology, Human Neuroanatomy, Neuroscience, Neurobiology.
• Second Chair experience at MRI facilities such as the University of Minnesota Center for Magnetic Resonance Research.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to build rapport with participants.
• Problem‑solving skills and attention to detail for independent and accurate work.
• Self‑organization and time/task management skills.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends with a flexible schedule.

Pay Range: $22–$24/hour, depending on education, qualifications, and experience. Retirement plan options available for Civil Service classifications. Other benefits include paid time off and health benefits in accordance with civil service regulations.
