Overview
Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis – Center for Indian Country Development (CICD). We seek an early‑career quantitative analyst to deepen understanding of tribal economies and economic outcomes through policy‑relevant research.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with CICD researchers to conduct data analysis using code‑based tools (primarily R) on questions related to tribal economies.
- Respond to requests for ad‑hoc data analysis and interpretation.
- Develop data visualizations for CICD articles, presentations, and other content.
- Support the maintenance of CICD’s public‑facing data products.
- Lead literature reviews.
- Work onsite full time; expect presence in the office five days per week for meetings and collaboration.
- Specific rationale for choosing this role and CICD.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, quantitative social science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in R or Stata with demonstrated project‑based experience.
- Effective team‑based work and self‑directed learning/problem‑solving.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to proficiency in R and Git.
- Knowledge of Indian Country context, institutions, and economic issues.
- Knowledge of business dynamics.
- Experience with written and/or visualized data analysis.
- Collaborative work in a data‑rich environment.
- Existing proficiency in R.
- Advanced coursework in statistics, econometrics, and/or programming.
- Experience with Git version control.
The full salary range is $59,300 – $88,900. Expected starting salary is $59,300 – $65,000.
