Position: Research Professional 1

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist with participant screening, recruitment, retainment, and guidance through research activities (55%).
  • Assist with regulatory filings to IRB and other agencies (25%).
  • Prepare summaries of recruitment activities, basic demographics and study performance summaries for presentations and submission to government agencies (10%).
  • Participate in professional development activities to grow in competence as a research professional (5%).
  • Coordinate actively with other lab members to facilitate achievement of team goals (5%).
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or a combination of education and relevant experience to equal at least four years.
  • Comfort and competence working with suicidal people; must be trained specifically on the C‑SSRS risk interview by a PhD or MD level researcher and demonstrate competence managing risk via this tool.
  • Experience conducting analyses of data concerning epistemically suspect beliefs, such as conspiracism.
  • Familiarity with advanced neuromodulation tools, particularly focused ultrasound; at least one year of experience working on research projects involving ecological momentary assessment data.
  • Significant experience working on research projects related to depression.
  • Experience recruiting participants for multiple psychiatric research studies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to conduct basic statistical analyses in R with minimal supervision.
  • Interested in building a career in the psychology/psychiatry field, including pursuit of relevant graduate‑level education.
  • Experience reading psychiatric research literature and presenting findings to scientific audiences, as in lab meetings.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: Salary range is $48,000 - $52,000, depending on education/qualifications/experience.

Time Appointment: 100% appointment.

Position Type: Civil‑Service & Non‑Faculty Labor Represented Staff.
