The University of Minnesota is seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Associate. This position is based on campus. Per UMN policy, work may be done remotely when appropriate
and approved by your manager. All UMN employees are expected to follow applicable public health and safety procedures.
Job Duties /Responsibilities:
* Conduct independent research under the mentorship of senior investigators, focusing on cancer cellular immunotherapy. (20%)
* Design and execute experiments to investigate mechanisms of immune resistance in cancer cells and develop strategies to overcome these barriers. (20%)
* Utilize advanced cellular and molecular techniques to develop novel immunotherapy for enhanced anti-tumor activity. (20%)
* Perform in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of experimental immunotherapies. (20%)
* Analyze and interpret experimental data using statistical methods and present findings at internal meetings and scientific conferences. (20%)
Qualifications
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
Required Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong background in cancer biology and immunology, with expertise in cellular immunotherapy techniques (e.g., CAR-T cell therapy, TCR-engineered T cells, NK cell therapy).
* Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, flow cytometry, and animal models of cancer.
* Track record of productivity demonstrated by first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
* Motivation to pursue independent research projects and contribute creatively to scientific discovery.
About the Department
The Masonic Cancer Center (MCC) is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center dedicated to cancer research, education, and patient care for the citizens of Minnesota and the surrounding region. Since the time of the first award in 1997, there has been consistent growth of the membership and research base, enabling our center to further advance our knowledge and enhance care for our catchment area.

Pay Range: $63,480 - $70,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience
