  • Primary responsibility is to design and conduct experiments aligned with ongoing lab projects, focusing on muscle biology, aging, and estrogen biology.

  • Analyze and interpret experimental data; consult with the Principal Investigator (PI) regarding analytical outcomes and how results impact current hypotheses or overall research objectives.

  • Contribute to the drafting and editing of manuscripts related to research studies.

  • 10% — Literature Review & Scientific Strategy
    • Research and analyze relevant scientific literature; present findings and offer strategic recommendations to advance ongoing studies.
  • 10% — Data Analysis & Interpretation

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • PhD in a biological science or technology area
  • At least 3 years of postdoctoral experience
  • Proven record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
Preferred / Relevant Experience
  • Presenting research at scientific conferences
  • Working with cell and tissue cultures
  • Cell and molecular biology
  • Hands-on laboratory techniques, including:
    • CRISPR gene editing
    • Immunocytochemistry
    • Migration and chemo tactic assays
    • Microscopy

Family Medicine and Community Health

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota was created more than 50 years ago in response to a legislative mandate to train primary care physicians. Since then, we have been leaders in transforming the specialty through education, research, and patient care. Pay Range: $84,302 to $88,000 annually ; depending on education/qualifications/experience
