Position Summary:

  • Serve as a leader in plate-based ELISA and bead-based multiplex Luminex product development efforts.
  • Create marketing collateral to support the continued expansion of the immunoassay portfolio.
  • Lead assay development from initial concept through product release on high-complexity problems.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends and market needs; define and propose appropriate processes with the larger organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex research projects for new immunoassay product development.
  • Manage simultaneous projects to meet milestones, timelines, and product requirements.
  • Gather and analyze data to determine next steps and improve existing processes.
  • Produce reports/presentations; document work in electronic lab notebooks and required documentation.
  • Collaborate across departments; communicate workload, prioritization, and progress.
  • Contribute to design control and phase gate processes.
  • Identify/propose product requirements; deliver project updates.
  • Develop marketing content with cross-functional teams for new product releases.
  • Follow company safety and policy guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Master’s in biochemistry/biology (or equivalent) with 8–10 years research experience, or
  • PhD in biochemistry/biology (or equivalent) with demonstrated scientific knowledge.
  • Immunoassay development experience preferred.
  • ELN and database management experience desirable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (Required unless noted):
  • Knowledge of immunoassay-related laboratory equipment.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Data analysis/problem-solving; strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Leadership (training/mentoring).
  • Professional written/oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive/proprietary information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred/desirable: computer entry/typing skills.
