Post-Doctoral Associate - Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology

About the Job

With guidance from the PI, the successful candidate will conduct independent research studies to determine immune mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of heart failure.

Duties:

• 70% - Planning and execution of studies to investigate the role of immune pathways in liver disease using techniques including genotyping, flow cytometry, cell culture, western blotting, and biochemical/molecular assays.
• 20% - Writing research articles and grant applications, conducting literature searches, hypothesis development, experimental design, and documenting results.
• 10% - Mentoring and supervising undergraduate and graduate students.

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in a biological science and research experience.

The ideal candidate should be a critical thinker and detail-oriented, have strong work ethics, and excellent communication skills.

Pay Range: $63,480 annually
