Position Overview

Position Title

Part‑time Nutrition Services Associate – temporary entry‑level position.

Details
  • Location: Westwood Campus
  • Hours: 5.75 hours/day (8:15‑2:00)
  • Duty days: Temporary assignment ends on June 5, 2026
  • Wage/Benefits: $20.30 per hour, sick leave
  • Start date: Immediate opening
  • Title: Temporary position
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Serve students in grades 5‑8, preparing and serving breakfast and lunch.
  • Prepare food, serve, cashier, and operate a dish machine as assigned by the kitchen manager.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with all students, staff and co‑workers.
  • Attend job‑related training classes and workshops to meet the professional standards guidelines of 4 hours/year.
  • Follow Department Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
  • Maintain high standards and working knowledge of food safety and sanitation pursuant to the Minnesota Food Code.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure guest safety.
  • Work well with others on a team.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Be a dependable team member.
  • Be an ongoing learner.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completed and passed a background check and a pre‑work physical.
  • Passed three professional reference checks.
  • Working knowledge of computers, including email.
  • Ability to pass a pre‑work physical.
Preferences
  • Experience working in the food service industry.
  • pleasant disposition toward students while serving breakfast and lunch.
