Gift Shop Cashier

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Gift Shop Cashier is responsible for Guest satisfaction by handling all cash and credit card transactions in an expeditious and professional manner.

• Develop and maintain positive Guest relation.
• Greet all Guests entering the Gift Shop, thank and invite them back upon leaving.
• Adhere to company Policies and Procedures for all cash handling functions.
• Compute Guest check totals with speed and accuracy.
• Accommodate our Guests and employees by giving prompt service.
• Develop and maintain proper serving techniques.
• Observe all health regulations and safety precautions.
• Complete any set-up, closing duties and side work assigned.
• Keep the Gift Shop clean and well maintained.
• Attend all mandatory meetings and training.
• Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Operate within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
• Secure the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED desirable.
• Previous experience in cash handling desirable.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Must be able to interact with the public.
• Must meet Tribal/State Compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Subject to internal working conditions, including a heat and smoking environment as well as an alcohol establishment.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: No prior experience necessary

Skills:

Must Have Strong Computer Skills

Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
