Lead Deli Clerk

Overview

At Coborn's, our Deli and Bakery are places where great food and friendly service come together. As a Lead Deli Clerk, you'll play an important role in supporting the Deli/Bakery Manager and helping the team deliver fresh, high-quality products and a welcoming experience for every guest. You'll lead by example on the floor, support and coach your teammates, and help keep the department running smoothly day to day.

• Step in to support and oversee the Deli/Bakery department when the manager is away.
• Help train, coach, and support deli clerks and cooks, leading with a positive and approachable style.
• Set the tone by delivering friendly, helpful service and following company standards.
• Oversee food preparation to ensure recipes, portion sizes, freshness, and food safety standards are consistently met.
• Receive, rotate, wrap, price, and code products to keep deli and bakery cases full, fresh, and inviting.
• Monitor product dates and remove out-of-code items daily.
• Support strong merchandising through clean, organized cases and engaging displays.
• Help maintain clean, safe, and organized aisles, work areas, and backrooms.
• Create a remarkable guest experience by greeting guests, sharing product knowledge, and making thoughtful recommendations.
• Respond to guest concerns with care and involve leadership as needed.
