Job Description

Full‑time position for a Store Assistant Manager.

Core responsibilities include: operating all equipment, stocking ingredients and inventory, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone and in‑person orders, taking inventory and completing associated paperwork, cleaning equipment and facility daily, and providing orientation and on‑job training.

• Handle communication – respond to customer inquiries, write clear instructions, and use verbal and telephone skills to process orders.
• Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and give correct monetary change.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
• Navigate delivery areas, read maps, locate addresses, and maneuver through multi‑story buildings and private homes while carrying product.

• Adverse weather while removing trash or delivering product.
• In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F+ in some areas.
• Fumes from food, cornmeal dust, cramped walk‑in cooler.
• Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F and sharp edges.
• Varying temperature changes, both indoors and outdoors.

• Standing – most tasks performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum.
• Walking – cover short distances, travel between store and delivery vehicle, and to customer locations.
• Sitting – paperwork completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting – unload bulk deliveries up to 50 lbs, lift cases on hand trucks, stack onto shelves up to 72”.
• Carrying – move cans up to 3 lbs, pizza sauce up to 30 lbs, trays of dough about 12 lbs each.
• Pushing – move trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 lbs force.
• Climbing – navigate stairs or ladders, including five or more flights during delivery.
• Bending – forward bending at the pizza assembly station (30‑45 seconds at a time, repeated).
• Crouching/Squatting – occasionally stock shelves and clean low areas.
• Reaching – continuous reach up, down, forward; up to 72” to controls or shelves.

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
• Strong eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity for dough shaping, cutting, and box assembly.
• Basic computer skills for order entry.
• Ability to follow all company policies and procedures consistently.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and under stress while meeting quality standards.

• Deliver pizzas and marketing materials within a designated area.
• Maintain cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
• Adhere to staffing, paperwork, scheduling, cleanliness, and profitability standards.
