As a Store Manager, you lead by example, embodying Lush core values and guiding customers, your team, and business decisions. Core values include Be Real, Be Curious, Lead Fearlessly, Adapt and Evolve, Grow Talent, and Live with Purpose.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and develop your store team, including management and staff on brand, product, and service standards
- Oversee all aspects of the retail business, from budgets to sales targets, with a focus on customer experience, staff experience, and operational excellence
- Continuous self-assessment, seeking feedback and development opportunities
Operational Excellence
- Policies and Procedures: ensure compliance with time and attendance, breaks, product integrity, respectful workplace, anti-harassment and anti-discrimination guidelines, health and safety, and budget adherence
- Stock and Inventory: train staff on rotation rules, manage orders and inventory, and reduce waste within budget
- Visuals and Merchandising: implement merchandising plans to drive KPIs and maintain a clean, high-quality store environment
- Scheduling and Attendance: optimize staffing for peak times while ensuring wellbeing and payroll accuracy within labor budgets
Qualifications
Required
- 3–5 years of retail management experience
- Strong HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Customer service, supervisory, and sales capabilities
- Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends
Preferred
- Experience with consultation-based customer service
- Coaching and developing staff through positive feedback
- Proven track record of developing retail careers
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; adaptable to other systems
- Experience with cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
- Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
Salary
$70,000 USD
