Our Retail Store Managers play a critical role in building and leading teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain a healthy talent pipeline, including oversight of front store and cross-trained colleague performance and development, contributing to career progression, involving hiring, training, performance management, and where required, termination of employment
- Ensure appropriate staffing to operate store successfully by scheduling to demand, consistently creating and publishing the schedule 3 weeks in advance, and maintaining financial stewardship of store labor spending
- Improve store performance measures (sales, service, loyalty, shrink, compliance, etc.) by coaching colleagues and working within the #One Team dynamic to identify and address barriers to operation
- Maintain a safe and high-quality working environment that complies with all regulatory and company standards
- Oversee timely and quality training of front store and cross-trained colleagues
- Conduct regular check-ins with all direct reports to track business goals and maintain team engagement
- Maintain a strong working relationship with Rx DL, Pharmacy Manager, pharmacy team and any other in-store teams (e.g., Minute Clinic, etc.) to foster a #One Team mentality and support a holistic total store staffing pipeline
- Partner with FS DL to establish store priorities, implement new initiatives, and engage all colleagues
- Act as an ambassador for CVS Health through professional behaviors and positive engagement within the community
- High school diploma or general equivalent education (GED)
- Must be 18 years of age
- Completion of all required training for current role within required timeframe
- Hight school diploma or general equivalent development (GED)
- 1-3 years of prior relevant work experience
- Work flexible schedules including early morning and evening shifts according to store needs and operating hours; two closing shifts per week and four weekend shifts per month are required at a minimum
- Examples:
- Store Manager is scheduled consistently four Saturday OR Sunday shifts each month equating to working a total of four weekend shifts per month
- Store Manager is scheduled a Saturday and Sunday shift in the same weekend, with two weekends on per month equating to working a total of four weekend shifts per month
- Examples:
- Lift and exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects to and from, including overhead lifting
- Ability to stand and walk for an extended amount of time
- Pharmacy Technician Licensure
- Bachelor's degree
