As an Account Manager/ Freight Broker , you will represent Circle Logistics and serve as the main point of contact for our existing customers. You will be responsible for creating and managing your individual book of business through communication with carriers to ensure timely pick ups and deliveries of our customer's freight while building and growing relationships in the process. You will also maintain and grow existing accounts by bringing solutions to customers’ freight-related issues, providing outstanding customer service, and ensuring on-time delivery.
This role is responsible for nurturing long-term relationships and growing existing clientele.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow existing accounts by managing customer day to day requirements
- Develop a business strategy to build a book of business of carriers
- Analyze customers’ needs and offer personalized solutions
- Match customer demand with quotes for their freight-related inquiries
- Build strategies that will result in increased sales and stronger partnerships
- Solve complex problems and be the main contact for all your accounts’ communications
- Collaborate with your team on pricing strategy and account implementation plans
- Consistently executing daily business (accepting/rejecting load tenders, lane bidding, update customers about shipment status, etc.)
- Manage any issues that come up in the normal operation of freight movement
- Establish relationships with day-to-day contacts
- Develop a business strategy to build a book of business of carriers
- Provide and negotiate freight rates to carriers
- Seek out and solve potential freight-related operational issues
- Ensure that all freight is moved on time and at a fair cost
- Collaborate internally with our sales team on freight rates, market trends, pricing strategy, and account implementation plans
- Procurement of new carriers based on volume and lane density
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally
- Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism
- Maintain strong grasp and market knowledge of shipping lanes, geography, and seasonality
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and multitask
- Superb time management and organizational skills
- Extraordinary attention to detail and teamwork skills
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Willingness to be available after hours and weekends if needed
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Sales, cold calling, or call center experience preferred
- Freight brokerage or account management experience preferred
- On-site training and career development

Salary + Uncapped Incentive
