Construction Sales Engineer – Low/Med Voltage

Siemens, a global powerhouse in electrical and electronic engineering, is looking for a seasoned sales engineer with experience in selling Low/Medium Voltage power distribution products in the Kansas City market. This position is located in the Greater Minneapolis area and focuses on supporting distributors and electrical contractors, driving sales through the construction channel and achieving share growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support distributors and electrical contractor opportunities, focusing on construction channel projects.
• Provide market presence and channel support to achieve share growth.
• Fully utilize CRM to develop and forecast contractor opportunities.
• Provide product support for panel boards, switchboards, medium voltage gear, lighting panels, low voltage switch gear, busway, motor control centers, molded case circuit breakers, IEC/NEMA control, safety switches, and residential products.
• Build and maintain a business plan, cultivating a healthy sales pipeline by uncovering new opportunities, following up on leads and managing existing customers.
• Develop and implement plans for strategic accounts to exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/l loyalty.
• Build long‑term relationships with senior management at key customer accounts, solution partners, and channel.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of sales experience with LV/MV power distribution product line (or 8+ years).
• Ability to travel 5% of the time.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience selling to local electrical contractors.
