Vice President of Sales - Industrial Equipment (AI marketplace)
The OpportunityA growing, privately held manufacturer of specialized industrial equipment serving the AI marketplace is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead and scale its commercial organization. This executive role is ideal for a hands‑on sales leader who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and enjoys building teams, processes, and customer relationships in technically complex, capital‑equipment businesses.
The Vice President of Sales will own overall revenue strategy and execution, working closely with executive leadership, engineering, operations, and customers to drive sustainable growth across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center markets.
Key Responsibilities- Own and execute the overall sales strategy for industrial equipment solutions growing at an exponential rate.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing sales organization which can increase sales capacity rapidly (direct sales, reps, and key accounts).
- Drive new business development with hyperscale, colocation, and large enterprise customers
- Expand relationships with existing customers by identifying cross‑sell, upsell, and lifecycle opportunities.
- Establish and refine sales processes
, forecasting discipline, CRM usage, and performance metrics. - Partner closely with engineering and operations to align customer requirements, technical solutions, and delivery.
- Support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and long‑term customer agreements
- Represent the business with key customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Contribute as a key member of the executive leadership team, helping shape company strategy and growth initiatives.
- Senior sales leadership experience (VP Sales, Head of Sales, or similar) in industrial, capital, or engineered AI equipment environments
- Exposure to the ecosystem (power, cooling, infrastructure, or adjacent industrial systems) strongly preferred
- Proven ability to sell complex, engineered solutions to sophisticated technical and procurement organizations
- Track record of building and scaling sales teams in growth‑oriented, entrepreneurial companies
- Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically—this is a hands‑on leadership role
- Strong business acumen with experience in forecasting, pricing, contracts, and long‑term customer partnerships
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work cross‑functionally in a matrixed organization
