Brekka Medical develops and commercializes innovative implant delivery devices that help plastic and reconstructive surgeons deliver implants more efficiently, with less friction and enhanced control during insertion. The Brekka device offers configurable 2-in-1 design handles on outer shell for improved gripes for improved grip, and a design that supports contact‑free implant loading and insertion to help maintain sterility and improve the operative experience.

Brekka is part of a broader in‑house medical device development and commercialization ecosystem that includes R&D, prototyping, manufacturing, and a dedicated sales team focused on bringing novel technologies to leading surgical practices.

Position Summary

We are seeking driven, well‑connected Independent 1099 Sales Representatives to expand Brekka Medical's presence across all Midwest states (MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, MI, OH, MO, KS, NE, ND, SD, CO). As a commission‑only independent contractor, you will promote the Brekka implant delivery device to plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeons, surgical centers, and hospital systems in your territory. This role is ideal for experienced medical device reps with existing relationships in private practices, aesthetics, breast reconstruction, or related surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory plan to drive the adoption of the Brekka implant delivery device across assigned Midwest markets.
  • Call on plastic surgeons, reconstructive surgeons, aesthetic surgeons, breast surgeons, and OR staff in hospitals, ASCs, and private practices.
  • Conduct in‑person and virtual product demonstrations, highlighting Brekka's friction‑reducing design, configurable options, and contact‑free implant loading benefits.
  • Support surgeons and OR teams during initial cases to ensure proper use, configuration, and workflow integration.
  • Generate new business while growing utilization at existing accounts through education, in‑service training, and case follow‑up.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline, forecast activity, and communicate regularly with Brekka leadership on territory performance.
  • Represent the Brekka brand professionally at regional meetings, society events, and practice‑level educational programs.

We are actively recruiting 1099 reps in all Midwest states, including but not limited to:

You may cover a single metropolitan area, a multi‑state region, or integrate Brekka into an existing bag of complementary surgical products, subject to territory alignment.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of successful field sales experience in medical devices, surgical products, aesthetics, or pharma; plastic surgery or breast reconstruction experience strongly preferred.
  • Establish relationships with plastic and reconstructive surgeons, OR directors, and key surgical decision‑makers in your Midwest territory.
  • Proven track record of driving new product adoption and growing procedure‑based utilization.
  • Comfortable with in‑OR selling, product training, and supporting early cases.
  • Self‑motivated independent contractor mindset with strong business planning and territory management skills.
  • Ability to work 1099 (commission‑only, no benefits) and comply with all applicable independent contractor and compliance requirements.
Compensation and Structure
  • 1099 independent contractor role (not an employee).
  • Commission‑only compensation with uncapped earning potential tied directly to territory sales performance, aligned with typical 1099 medical device structures.
  • Opportunity to add Brekka as a primary or complementary line within an existing portfolio of surgical products, pending non‑compete and conflict‑of‑interest review.
