Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative will assist both international and domestic customers with technical issues, provide verbal and written proposals, enter sales orders, and return material authorizations, and work with customers on special and long-term projects.
Salary Range: $62,400 - $72,800 (Bonus opportunities available.)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, document, and send quotations in accordance with customers’ requirements.
- Enter customer sales orders and RMAs into ERP system.
- Negotiate payment terms with customers with the assistance of your manager and accounting.
- Create Proforma invoices for down payments.
- Contribute to the yearly Parts Dept sales goal.
- Follow up with incoming customer leads.
- Process warranty claims per policy and/or guidelines.
- Resolve customer issues as they arise.
- Monitor progress of parts orders.
- Follow up with customers on delivery inquiries.
- Keep sales forecast up to date.
- Assist in the training of new Parts Dept. employees as needed.
- Work with all departments within the organization in a team-like manner.
- Fulfill any additional work-related responsibilities as assigned.
- Travel for this position would be trips to see our suppliers or a customer when required.
- Managing multiple complex projects at a time.
- Supporting the outside sales team.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel:
- This position will require being in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a corporate office environment.
- Occasional day trips to supplier’s shops or to see a customer. Must be able to travel up to 10%.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience/Skills:
- Must have 3+ years of sales and/or customer service experience.
- Parts and/or machine knowledge and experience preferred.
- Experience with international sales is a plus.
- Experience in industrial processing or manufacturing fields desired.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret drawings preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Must have 3 years of experience in building customer relationships.
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must be able to prioritize projects to meet multiple deadlines for various customers.
- Some experience using Mech Works and Epicor/Kinetic is preferred.
- Some knowledge in mechanical is a plus.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Acrobat.
