Location: Hopkins, Minnesota
Pay: $20-$40/hour BOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm
Type: Full-Time/ DIRECT HIRE
IQ Resource Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative in Hopkins, MN!
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has a strong mechanical aptitude. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with technical product information, building customer relationships, and managing the full quote-to-order process with accuracy and ownership.
Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders and prepare accurate quotes
- Perform quote follow-ups, analysis, and maintain ownership through completion
- Investigate and resolve customer issues related to deliveries, product quality, and lead times
- Negotiate pricing with customers and vendors
- Assist with customer returns and documentation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors
- Provide technical and non-technical support regarding equipment use, operation, and maintenance
- Communicate professionally in both written and verbal formats
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Entry-level candidates: 1-2 years of sales or customer service experience required
- Experienced candidates: 5-7 years of inside sales or related industry experience required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong mechanical aptitude is REQUIRED (Examples include: gears, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and similar mechanical components)
- Must understand basic mechanical and power transmission concepts, including:
Difference between a V-Belt and a synchronous belt and Difference between a chain drive and a belt drive. - Electrical background would be a plus
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate technical product information
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and make decisions
- Self-motivated with a drive to learn and grow product knowledge
