Mintahoe Catering & Events is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Sales Associate to support and grow within our sales team. This is an entry-level, developmental role designed for someone eager to learn the events and catering industry while building a strong foundation for a long-term career in sales.
In this role, you will support the full sales lifecycle, from lead response through booking, while learning the standards, pace, and mindset required to succeed as a Sales Consultant will assist with tours, proposals, bookings, and client communication, gradually taking on increased responsibility as your skills and confidence grow.
This position offers hands‑on training, mentorship, and daily exposure to high-quality events, iconic venues, and real client decision‑making – creating a clear pathway into a full sales role over time.
Requirements What You’ll Learn & SupportAs a Junior Sales Associate, you will work closely with senior sales team members while developing core sales skills, operational knowledge, and professional confidence.
- Assist in managing and qualifying incoming sales leads
- Respond to client inquiries with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail
- Support timely follow‑up to help maintain client momentum
- Help coordinate and support venue tours, tastings, and consultations
- Learn how to guide clients through decision‑making with clarity and confidence
- Observe and assist with relationship‑driven sales conversations
- Assist in the preparation and processing of proposals, contracts, and bookings
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and internal tracking systems
- Learn the importance of speed, accuracy, and organization in protecting revenue
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the sales team
- Collaborate with venue managers, culinary, operations, and marketing teams
- Ensure smooth handoffs and clear communication throughout the sales process
- Learn Mintahoe’s venues, services, pricing structures, and sales standards
- Develop time management, organization, and follow‑through habits
- Gradually take on more ownership as skills and experience grow
- Strong interest in sales, hospitality, events, or customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
- Positive, team‑first mindset with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, or sales support is a plus, but not required
While this is a junior role, you’ll be trained and evaluated with the same foundational standards that define success on the Mintahoe sales team:

$40,000 base salary + commission participation
