Eco Works Supply is a growing 21‑year distributor of high‑quality fertilizers, micronutrients, soil amendments, grass seeds, field marking paints, robotic field painters, robotic combination mowers and painters, netting, synthetic and turf and hard goods to the golf and sports turf industry and to cities, schools, and landscapers throughout several U.S. states. Our products are all‑natural, environmentally friendly and high‑quality solutions to help our customers produce and maintain high‑quality turf while saving money compared to our main competitors.

We are recognized as a leader in the natural fertilizer industry.

We are seeking two independent sales representatives in Minnesota. The role is a 1099 contractor with a shared gross profit compensation model (approximately 40% profit margin) paid twice monthly. You will be provided with a target list, warm leads, and existing accounts. We prefer candidates who are already on the road selling non‑competing products and can use this commission to transition to a full‑time position, or a semi‑retired individual who can build an income stream over several weeks.

Training, samples, catalogs, brochures, a website, local warehouse access and inventory, and support from the owners for joint sales calls will be supplied. There will be occasional company meetings to discuss strategies and product knowledge. We process all orders, manage inventory, delivery, and accounts receivable, and will cover memberships in trade associations, trade shows, and approved expenses.

The representative should organize and prioritize daily, weekly and monthly activities, drive to accomplish tasks, and seek a long‑term relationship with the company and customers.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Make cold calls and follow‑up calls to leads, new prospects and existing customers.
  • Identify key decision makers within target organizations.
  • Generate qualified sales opportunities and close orders.
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with clients.
  • Educate clients on relevant company products and services.
  • Attend trade shows and serve at the company booth.
  • Accountable for your own activity.
  • Report to management with a monthly activity plan and results.
  • Understand clients' needs and communicate realistic expectations of what our products can do for them.
  • Learn about our services, processes and client experiences to understand our competitive differentiation.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
  • Passion for sales and new business development and a desire to learn our trade.
  • Prior experience with fertilizer preferred.
  • Knowledge of field marking paints is a plus.
  • Knowledge of grass seeds and varieties is a plus.
  • Knowledge of agronomy is a plus.
  • Proficient on computer, including Excel, Word, Email, and smartphone texting.
  • Self‑motivated, driven, and goal oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills.
  • Self‑disciplined and honest with a strong work ethic.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Persuasive and diplomatic, assertive without being overly aggressive.
  • Strong multitasking ability and prioritization skills.
  • Creative problem‑solving and quick thinking.
Experience

Candidates will ideally have outside sales experience in a competitive B2B environment. Preference will be given to those with prior sports or golf turf experience.

Interviews will be conducted during normal business hours, Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm and also in the evening if necessary.
