Responsibilities
As an Inside Sales – Counter Sales Representative you will assist customers in person and over the phone, enter orders in the system, review and pull orders, follow through on commitments of delivery of product or information required, and ensure customers’ needs are met in a professional and timely fashion. You will also properly communicate information to customers and employees who are fulfilling the order.
- Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems promptly and professionally.
- Help customers determine and select the best solution of Crescent Electric products and services to meet their needs.
- Work with the Purchasing Department, account managers, quotations specialists, product champions, and other branch personnel to provide competitive quotations.
- Continuously develop knowledge of Crescent product inventory, its location in the facility, and sales techniques.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Related sales experience preferred and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional phone and customer service skills.
- Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping; occasional sitting, talking/hearing.
- Use of hands/fingers often needed; ability to move quickly between the counter and warehouse areas.
- Continuous lifting and carrying 1–20 lbs. Frequent lifting and carrying 21–50 lbs. Occasional lifting and carrying 51–100 lbs.; assistance of a buddy‑lift or a mechanical device is advised.
- Vision requirements for driving equipment and company vehicles: close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception as described.
