Job Summary

The Account Executive meets and exceeds local and national sales goals by selling our inventory to qualified advertisers through direct customer outreach and high‑level agency contacts. The role develops long‑term advertising relationships by presenting comprehensive proposals and competitive, profitable pricing structures in collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams across our digital and printed inventory.

Job Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue goal attainment on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prospect and develop new customer relationships, persuasively communicating strategies for meeting customer needs.
  • Conduct outside sales activities, obtaining orders and/or contracts for Clear Channel services while away from the office.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by facilitating all aspects of an account in cooperation with creative, operations, marketing and finance staff.
  • Determine project pricing based on management guidelines.
  • Negotiate fees or services with clients with management approval.
  • Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Deliver proof of performance (POP) to clients.
  • Accompany clients on market tours to showcase outdoor inventory.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Ad Ops and other internal departments.
  • Complete other duties as assigned or requested.
Job Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience (preferred).
  • Work Experience:

    Minimum two (2) years of sales experience or other relevant work experience required; five (5)+ years of sales experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of business‑to‑business and progressive sales experience.
  • Preferred knowledge of territory.
  • Skills:

    Working closely with customers to develop and cultivate client relationships; consultative or “needs” based selling techniques; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media platforms.
  • Competencies:

    Account Management, Fostering Communication, Initiative, Managing the Sales Process, Negotiating, Networking, Presentation.
Physical Demands

Attendance at weekly/monthly meetings is essential. The position involves working in an office and in the field making sales calls and servicing existing accounts. Requires the ability to lift and move items up to 15 pounds, to see written documents and computer screens, and to adjust focus.

Other Requirements
  • Travel outside the office at least 50% of the time for meetings and industry events.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle.
Targeted Salary Range

$31,000 + Commission for this Minnesota position. Hourly roles are overtime eligible;
Operations roles are Productivity Pay eligible.
