Position: Key Account Manager (On-Site)

Key Account Manager (On‑Site)

C.H. Robinson is seeking an On‑Site Key Account Manager (KAM) to support one of our key customers. The role requires driving growth and deepening partnerships within the assigned account, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor. Responsibilities include uncovering new opportunities, delivering customer‑centric solutions, and collaborating internally to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Elevate and expand credible relationships across functional departments within the customer supply chain.
  • Leverage network SMEs to develop product, mode, or service line opportunities and drive an active opportunity pipeline in CRM.
  • Conduct regular business reviews using internal data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and present strategic solutions.
  • Navigate complex pricing and selling solutions with customers using strategic negotiation at the management and director level.
  • Create collaborative supply‑chain solutions by sharing customer data, requirements, and expectations with internal resources.
  • Represent digital solutions with a deep understanding of technology and analytics applied to customer strategy.
  • Identify new opportunities through market intelligence and provide business insights to improve customer outcomes.
  • Own account strategy including RFP, proposal, and award management, understanding customer buying habits and CHR’s position.
  • Manage customer pricing strategy using internal technology, tools, and SMEs.
  • Represent customer needs internally, advocating for resource prioritization and alignment across the organization.
  • Manage conflict and navigate difficult conversations with the customer, maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with partners on capacity, product, and supply to identify strategic solutions and ensure optimal execution.
  • Engage internal leadership to align resources and priorities for account strategy.
  • Monitor financial results, volume, and service performance reports, taking proactive actions to champion process improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to negotiated payment terms and manage accounts receivable processes.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum four years of experience in sales and/or account management.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
  • Supply‑chain knowledge preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Data‑driven approach to sales and account management.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable financial results through sales or account management solutions.
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Compensation

Base pay range: $75,700.00 – $ (location specific). The range reflects minimum and maximum base pay; additional variable compensation is not included.
