Position: Contractor Sales Representative (Minneapolis) - Tiling, Surface Preparation & Sealants Job

Job Summary

The job involves working directly with existing distribution accounts and identifying and targeting potential new distribution customers. The focus is on working with contractors and independent retail customers to drive business through distribution. Architectural sales calls are part of the Territory Representative responsibilities, including presentations to groups.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Sales & Demand Generation - 50%

  • Support the Territory Manager in selling the full product offering with a focus on Tiling, Surface Preparation & Sealants for the C&C business unit in the assigned region.
  • Execute and follow up with the Bostik Specifications program within the territory to create down‑channel demand.
  • Create demand at both the contractor and end‑user level.
  • Support product launches and execute strategy for national and regional demand‑creation initiatives such as promotions, monitoring metrics and value maximization.
  • Assist in onboarding new distribution partners.

Account Management & Customer Support - 20%

  • Manage and support designated accounts in accordance with the territory plan.
  • Handle daily customer needs for samples, complaint resolution, and general administration.
  • Maintain critical contacts, account details, and key conversations while supporting the Territory Manager as needed.
  • Troubleshoot account problems and facilitate technical solutions for the customer.

Training, Technical Support & Product Demonstration - 20%

  • Provide training and technical advice for products at onsite and offsite locations, including job sites.
  • Conduct product demonstrations in line with the Territory Manager’s growth initiatives.
  • Support channel partners with value‑added education and training.
  • Understand local market trends, distributor activity, and DSR dynamics.
  • Collaborate with the Territory Manager to build and execute elements of the annual territory plan.
  • Participate in the development and execution of annual key account plans.
  • Report industry advances, competitive intelligence, and product needs to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Meet timelines for all required territory updates (weekly and monthly).
Minimum Qualifications and Education

Min Years of

Experience:

3+ years in Sales or Marketing.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree – Business or related field preferred.

Certifications / Trainings
  • Self‑starter with excellent organizational skills.
  • A passion for hands‑on product demonstrations.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Familiarity with selling through distribution preferred.
HES Requirement – All Jobs
  • Support the site HES policy and comply with all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Participate in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, Safe Start, etc.).
  • Promote and report all health, safety, environmental, near‑miss, accident, or injury incidents.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Move equipment weighing up to 57 pounds.
  • Position oneself to install, demo, and test product.
