The Role and the TeamProofpoint is looking for a high‑performing Sales professional to join the Named Account team selling to Enterprise accounts (roughly 6,000 to 50,000 mailboxes). You will manage up to 20 named accounts, work with partner communities to gain access to white‑space accounts, and upsell and cross‑sell within existing relationships.
In this role you will sell the full Proofpoint Platform, expand the Proofpoint footprint, and assist in protecting customers from advanced threats and targeted attacks. The position reports to the Named Account Sales Director.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute account plans for each named account, identifying add‑on opportunities.
- Maintain an active account plan and deliver quarterly Customer Business Reviews.
- Engage consistently with customers and partners, meeting and exceeding revenue expectations.
- Secure renewals and educate customers on the Proofpoint Roadmap.
- Provide accurate forecasting and maintain clean, clear Salesforce reporting.
- Collaborate across the team and external partners to drive results.
- 10+ years of field sales experience selling complex cybersecurity solutions or related fields, managing medium to large accounts.
- Demonstrable track record of success, including experience selling via a two‑tier distribution channel and developing multi‑product, multi‑year proposals.
- Experience presenting to executive audiences (CISO, CIO, CMO, etc.) and a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
- High sales activity: 6–10 customer and partner meetings per week and at least 6 hours of dedicated prospecting per week.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to tailor solutions to customer business drivers and use case/business value selling.
- Ability to manage complex, cross‑functional initiatives while aligning multiple internal and external resources.
