Airport Advertising Manager – The role is to meet and exceed sales projections by selling advertising to qualified advertisers using professional sales techniques. This position involves outside sales, managing an airport advertising concessionaire program, cultivating relationships with Airport Authority personnel, providing local oversight to administrative and operational employees, and coordinating with other Lamar departments to ensure product delivery and collections.

- Base salary of $75,000 with earning potential of $75,000 - $175,000

- Meet and exceed sales objectives through a relationship‑based approach in assigned market(s)
- Develop, acquire, and maintain relationships with local businesses and advertisers; prospect new clients, make presentations, negotiate rates, close deals, and provide post‑sale service
- Travel directly to customers and prospects to develop and maintain relationships and sell advertising
- Present products to existing and potential customers and assist them in selecting the best solutions
- Identify potential growth areas, open new accounts, and maintain a personal account list with weekly outreach
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue objectives
- Research prospects and gather information to determine potential opportunities
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for customers
- Expedite resolution of customer problems and complaints
- Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, administrative, and operations groups to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Share pipeline reports with the Manager weekly
- Plan and organize personal sales strategy to maximize return on time investment
- Provide oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and new product opportunities
- Stay informed of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, and advertising trends
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Airport Authority staff, responding promptly and professionally
- Notify relevant teams of inventory changes and coordinate accurate revenue reporting
- Respond to National Sales and National Account Services Manager requests within established guidelines
- Monitor current National campaign end dates and provide renewal opportunities proactively
- Liaise with National Account Services Manager to inform about upcoming major events and opportunities
- Primary work environments include office, airport, and vehicle
- Requires light lifting, pushing, reaching, seeing, sitting >50% of the time, standing, stooping, talking, turning, walking, climbing, and occasional installation of physical signs
- Less than 10% nights away from home
Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- 2‑3 years of successful B2B sales experience
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Proven relationships with area clients and a track record of selling to local and direct clients
