As a Sales Manager at Uncommon, you will join a fast-growing company working on the hottest brands in retail. You’ll be tasked with leading the growth strategy and owning relationships across a range of strategic brand partners, while also leading and developing your internal team to execute against stated priorities.

Required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in retail, CPG, sales, category management, merchandising, or account management.
  • Experience working with Target; preferably working directly with merchant and planning teams.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen; preferably prior P&L ownership.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing and owning annual business plans and growth strategies.
What You’ll Do

The Uncommon Sales Manager serves as the strategic business leader for a portfolio of brands. This role is responsible for developing and executing growth strategies that create value for both Target and our brand partners. The ideal candidate anticipates opportunities before they arise and consistently brings proactive solutions to both brand and retail partners.

  • Partner with brand leaders and Target merchants to establish annual and long‑term business goals.
  • Develop comprehensive growth plans that unlock category, assortment, distribution, merchandising, pricing, promotion, and digital opportunities.
  • Own the day‑to‑day performance of assigned brands; including sales, margin, and inventory health.
  • Anticipate retailer and brand partner needs and deliver proactive solutions to address problems before they arise.
  • Lead development and coaching of internal business unit to ensure white glove service and flawless execution of strategic growth plans.
  • Help partners see around corners by identifying future opportunities and risks.
  • Build trusted relationships with Target merchants, planners, and cross‑functional partners.
  • Lead seasonal business planning and line review preparation.
  • Ensure execution matches intent and commitments become results.
