Position Summary

The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the Bio Pharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients. The primary role of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients through an engaging, differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) and consistent scientific dialogue that aligns with label.

The TAS builds strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups, office staff, and other stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact. The role liaises with other BMS functions to enhance the overall Customer Experience, prioritises safe and appropriate use of BMS products, and focuses on business results and performance objectives while exemplifying BMS values.

The TAS is field‑based and is expected to spend 100% of their time in the field with external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region, meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintain and grow a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Use available tools such as CE^3 to derive insights, dynamically inform call plans, and provide feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate scientific expertise using approved resources and publications, ensuring medical accuracy in all interactions.
  • Conduct in‑office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product‑related scientific information consistent with label.
  • Organise external speaker programs, selecting approved speakers and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging data for approved indications.
  • Engage real‑time medical support through Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and technical inquiries.
  • Proactively collaborate with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
  • Share relevant insights and information internally with appropriate stakeholders to enhance customer service.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers and office staff, demonstrating a customer‑centric mindset and desire to create a differentiated Customer Experience.
  • Cardiovascular experience preferred.
  • Strong account management skills, superior selling competencies, and a proven sales performance track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work effectively cross‑functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills proven through a track record of performance.
