About the Role

The Marketplace New Business Development Manager, Alliances leads the Go-To-Market strategy for Target Plus Marketplace, developing and executing sales enablement programs that communicate the Target value proposition and drive conversion of prospective marketplace sellers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Go-To-Market strategy for Target Plus Marketplace.
  • Create pitch decks, seller collateral, sales training, and enablement resources that support the Partner Acquisition team.
  • Develop and manage the marketplace seller incentive strategy in partnership with Acquisition, Business Operations & Services, Creative, and Partnership Teams.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all seller‑facing assets.
  • Measure enablement effectiveness, optimize seller engagement, and continuously improve incentive programs to accelerate partner acquisition.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, marketing, go‑to‑market strategy, sales enablement, or marketplace/eCommerce.
  • Experience developing sales enablement programs, including sales collateral and training that drive business growth.
  • Experience developing compelling value propositions and messaging for external audiences, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project and program management skills in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills, able to manage discussions with internal teams and external partners.
  • Familiarity with digital marketplaces and understanding of the DTC landscape (preferred).

Work Arrangement

This role operates as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day arrangement, requiring the employee to perform core responsibilities both onsite at the Target HQ in Minnesota and virtually, depending on daily needs.
