Role Overview

The Regional Director of Corporate Accounts (RDCA) leads the development and execution of regionally based contract strategies that support the sales objectives of Cardinal Health’s US Medical Products and Distribution (USMPD) business. The RDCA works closely with acute and non‑acute leadership, regional sales teams and contracting functions to drive revenue, protect margin, and ensure compliance across key accounts in Minnesota and Iowa.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic account management, building and expanding relationships with senior executives in regional purchasing coalitions, integrated delivery networks and health systems.
  • Lead contract strategy, RFPs, local negotiations and the financial approval process; model deals and drive profitability.
  • Define and execute account strategies, aligning business‑unit plans with market realities and competitive positioning.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including enterprise sales, clinical specialists, marketing and product to deepen penetration and grow service adoption.
  • Communicate progress, KPIs and key decisions to internal leaders and client stakeholders.
  • Track performance through business reviews and ensure all commitments are met.
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing strategy improvement, segmentation and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; minimum 5years in sales and/or marketing within the healthcare or medical‑products industry.
  • Proven success in complex selling, diversified product solutions, and building executive relationships.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of achieving results through others.
  • Structured decision‑making and problem‑solving ability, with financial and analytical acumen.
  • Deep knowledge of hospital and health‑care economics.
  • Experience negotiating at the senior‑executive level.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment.
  • Proficient with CRM tools such as Salesforce and other related technology.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%; valid driver’s license, active vehicle insurance and residence within the region.
  • Capability to work remotely from a quiet, private environment with reliable high‑speed internet.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Estimated salary range: $190,000–$257,000 (includes targeted variable pay); bonus eligible.
