Bank of America is seeking an Institutional Workplace Benefits Specialist to lead the acquisition and closing of high‑value Workplace Benefits business. The role focuses on Defined Contribution, Non‑Qualified Deferred Compensation, and related retirement and employee benefit solutions for large and mega market accounts.
Responsibilities- Drive new business through prospecting, presentation, and negotiation of workplace benefits solutions for qualified plans with assets ≥ $100 million.
- Serve as lead for preparing sales materials, pricing, and proposals, and conduct client interaction through the entire sales cycle.
- Collaborate with relationship managers, senior advisors, and external consultant relations to move opportunities from discovery to final presentation.
- Coordinate pipeline with RM teams, advisers, and Bank of America Merrill colleagues to identify and prioritize opportunities.
- Forge partnerships with key stakeholders to solve client challenges and deliver market intelligence to product teams.
- Provide guidance and leadership throughout the sales process, including internal and external selling.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Series7 & Series
66, and life, health or variable annuity insurance licensing (or ability to obtain within 30 days). - 8+ years of B2B sales experience in financial services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong financial aptitude and results‑oriented approach.
- Successful experience interacting with senior executives (CEO, business line presidents, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, pipeline management, and relationship‑building skills.
- Expert fluency with Defined Contribution and Non‑Qualified Deferred Compensation products.
- Knowledge of Defined Benefit, health benefit solutions (HSA, FSA, LSA, commuter plans), employee banking and investing, and equity award solutions.
- Business acumen, active listening, emotional intelligence, and executive presence.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑selling environment.
- Annual salary range: $200,000–$214,700, adjusted for experience and qualifications.
- Eligible for an annual discretionary award based on individual and group performance.
