Job Description Summary

Under the direction of the Regional Sales Director, Health Systems Solutions, you will manage the development and execution of sales, marketing, and business development activities for a portion of the team under the RSD, HSS to exceed revenue and gross margin objectives. You will identify growth opportunities within local practices, hospitals and health systems, partner with stakeholders, and direct the activities of Account Executives and Care Transition Specialists to deliver consistent revenue, margin and referral growth.

Job Responsibilities
  • Drive sales with your assigned team by partnering with operations to build market growth plans, set goals and develop sales forecasts for each assigned territory. Ensure alignment with national business unit and specialty enterprise objectives.
  • Partner with operations and payer counterparts to build regional strategic market plans, increase market penetration and develop promotional activities.
  • Develop Account Executives to create and deliver sales presentations and lead consultative sales discussions.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating success in creating new business within your assigned area.
  • Coach and provide developmental feedback to your team to build high productivity and competency.
  • Maintain strong relationships with branch management to ensure sales efforts are supported and aligned with branch capabilities.
  • Monitor competitors, industry and sales trends; create new initiatives including market entry strategy, financial analysis, and necessary resources.
  • Monitor activity for the sales team to ensure focus on priority growth targets; provide productivity analysis and performance feedback.
  • Serve as an expert in local market dynamics, payer issues, state regulations and clinical disease states, coaching the team to high competency.
  • Responsible for appropriate staffing and utilization of resources, including hiring, pay recommendations, performance reviews, training and development.
  • Identify opportunities and develop relationships with alliance partners to increase business and develop business plans to achieve goals.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Delegate work and hold team accountable, allowing the team to focus on growth opportunities and build competency.
  • Act as a player/coach to step in and prospect or close business when required.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee and support the performance of the sales team, including hiring, performance reviews, salary recommendations, and development of staff.

Basic

Education and/or Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business or a clinical field, and at least 1–2 years of previous B2B healthcare/medical related sales leadership experience; or a high school diploma and/or some college with 5 years of related sales experience.
