We are seeking an experienced and driven Catering Director to lead the growth and success of our catering division.
Position Summary
The Catering Director is responsible for developing and executing catering sales strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will lead catering sales initiatives, manage key client accounts, oversee team performance, and partner with restaurant operations to ensure exceptional execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic catering sales plans to drive revenue growth.
- Identify and secure new corporate accounts, community partnerships, schools, universities, and event opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners.
- Create and execute local marketing initiatives that generate catering leads and increase brand awareness.
- Collaborate with restaurant leadership teams to identify local sales opportunities within each market.
- Support and grow the Brand Ambassador program to increase catering awareness and referrals.
- Evaluate market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing catering sales team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Establish sales goals, monitor performance metrics, and drive accountability.
- Partner with Regional Directors and restaurant teams to ensure flawless catering execution.
- Develop and maintain service standards that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Implement processes that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Manage catering pricing strategies, discounts, and promotional programs.
- Monitor revenue, profitability, and key performance indicators.
- Analyze sales data and provide recommendations to improve business results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional sales experience.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing and developing sales teams.
- Experience in hospitality, restaurant catering, food service, or a related industry preferred.
- Proven track record of business development and revenue growth.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales management tools;
Caterease and Zoom Info experience is a plus. - Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel locally as needed.
